Ruby turned two.
How this happened I do not know.
I am almost half way through my second pregnancy.
How this happened I do not know.
Okay. I do...but it never worked that way for us before.
There is a lot of love in our little household right now.
So much love in fact, that many people would probably find themselves more than a bit nauseous in our presence.
There are belly kisses, tent making, river dips and early morning muffin baking.
There are proud potty moments and special stories at bedtime.
There are snuggles, secrets, and giggles.
And....
I'll deny it in public but there has been semi- secret talk of a mini-van.
Shhh... I am not completely ready to accept this as my reality.
As giddy as it makes me to imagine our family off on some adventure, or even off to the grocery store, in one of these marvels of transportation...part of me is still a cute little Golf Girl- if you now what I mean?
Reality will have no choice but to set in when the Hubs can no longer drive our car because of how far forward the driver's seat will have to go to accommodate a second car seat. Oh and, a double buggy? Where would that go? The dogs?
The Hubs is 100% committed. He is stoked. He is trying as hard to get me into one of these babies as he was to get in my pants almost a decade ago.
Oh...how things evolve. From make outs in public parks after dark to mini-vans, playgrounds and a 7:30 bedtime. For us.
Quotes:
While driving in the car. Trying to keep Ruby awake.
Me: What are you thinking about?
Ruby: My bum.
M: What about your bum?
R: I like my bum. It's got a Gina on it. And a tushie.
Again, while driving in the car.
Me: What are you thinking about?
Ruby: A slug riding a bicycle.
M: (laughter) That's pretty funny!
R: Or a snail riding a bicycle.
While playing in blanket fort with Daddy.
R: I am fascinated!
R: Daddy, you're Golden!
Golden Indeed.
Every Single Moment.
Golden.

Good for a girl to love her bum!
Personally, I LOVE my '08 Toyota Sienna. We test drove all the top minivans right now and it beat them all by far with leg/head room, storage space, comfortableness, gas mileage, etc. My husband was the one who wasn't 100% on board with the idea, but he admits now that he loves the van, too! It may not be a sportscar, but it is soooo nice!
