Playing, Spooking and Booking

Ruby is 16 months old and really enjoying her full fledged toddlerhood. She can walk, run, jump, bounce, play, imagine, hop, scream, laugh and make marvelous messes. Her favourite thing is and has always been talking! We know she gets her sass and potty mouth from her mommy and her wit and wisdom from her dad but she is definitely her own little person. Which is awesome. And freaky!

Recent highlights include Thanksgiving, the pumpkin patch, the newt suit, Halloween, gym with Nana and the emergence of baby sentences. My favourite new word is in the "ing" verb catagory -but is uniqe, I think, to our Ruby. The word -booking- is used in place of reading and I think it rocks!

Holy smokes! She's such a little girl all of a sudden! Book-ing. Now that is awesome.

She is soooooo cute!

I now plan to use "booking" as an example in class when I talk about early attempts at word usage and grammar.

Look at all that hair! What a little girl. Can you believe how fast they are growing? Is that a vintage newt suit? Isaac's doesn't have the cool bum and ankle rub patches and we're a little jealous over here.
