Reality
It's not -next year. It's not -in the fall. It's tomorrow... and I am going to miss her so much.
Good luck, Lisa - I'm not going to lie to you - it's tough. Super, crazy, ridiculous tough. But it gets easier, and your little Ruby will be just fine.
Oh, I'm so sorry. Maybe there is some benefit to our ridiculously short maternity leave here in the US--I've been taking Alice to daycare since she was 16 weeks old, and it DOES get much easier. (ok, who am I kidding--I hate our lack of maternity leave policy) Leaving her still tugs at my heart every morning...but I know that she's okay. Ruby will be fine, and at some point soon you'll go to pick her up and she won't want to leave because she's having so much fun.

Hugs - big ones.

Here's my assvice - when you are busy and engaged at work, when you have good vacation and benefits and daycare, work, even full time, can be fine.
Good luck.
