I woke up.
It was 3:30am.
My contractions seemed a little more involved than the usual Braxton Hicks.
Was this a reason to be concerned? Excited?
I lay still for a while listening to my body. My back ached a bit and I felt a bit premenstrual.
The baby's head went bump bump bump on my cervix and I felt a little pop.
I walked to the bathroom and sat on the toilet.
Sploosh.
My waters? I looked in to the toilet to see what I could spy: water and a crimson swirl. And, red on the toilet paper.
I called my Hubster. I think it's happening...
It is now noon and we are chillaxing in the living room. We are trying to stay fairly mellow. Not waste any energy. I think it's going to be a long day. Or two.
We've been timing the contractions on and off.
I've been resting, eating, drinking, reading, chatting, surfing and changing my soggy monster pads every so often. The Hubster went out for snacks and my friend Chanti dropped of a care package.
I called our midwife and she is very excited. So far my contractions are quite frequent but not very intense. She is going to check on us later.
I think this is really happening...
Here's Hoping...

I love you tons! We're waiting for the phone to ring!
Sending good thoughts your way. I like reading your blog.
OMG I so want to phone you right frickin' now!!! I will be good and wait but I am SO EXCITED FOR YOU GUYS!!!! It's funny too cause when I saw you at the Market yesterday I had this weird feeling that you were done, not that you wanted to be done, but that you really and truly were done being pregnant. I guess you really are done! See you on the other side...
P.S. Devinder and Duston expect Nicholas to be at Tackraw tomorrow night with your new baby. I think what they mean to say is, best father's day present ever and good luck!
