Ruby is 9 days old.
We love her more than anything in this world.
I have the Hubster retell me our birth story every night.
So I don't forget a single detail.
So I can relive the intense and wonderful experience.
So I can savour our special miracle.
I long to blog about it...
But, one thing is for sure:
When you've struggled with infertility~you are not the only one who has been waiting almost 3 years for your baby to arrive.
We have been overwhelmed with love, homemade dinners and gifts.
And, there have been hoards of visitors, friends and family.
Some days this is awesome...
Some days this leaves me tired and emotional...
I am learning to tell people I need time with my new family.
Time for love.
Time for quiet.
Time to remember.
Time to savour our own unique miracle.
Ruby.
Because she is only 9 days old.
Because she is already 9 days old.

Ahhh, so wonderful! Ruby is the cutest name ever. I love it!
Take all the private time you need :)
So glad to hear that you are enjoying this wonderful time with Ruby. I am longing to hear your birth story and hear more about Ruby...but I totally get that time is precisou and fleeting and you should be all about family time right now! Snuggle that baby close while she's little enough not to squirm away!
this made me cry. i'm so very happy that you now know this love.
Soak in EVERY moment..
Beautiful post! I'm all misty-eyed. Enjoy Ruby and give her lots of kisses!
We've never had as many visitors as we did in those first few weeks with Megan. Hang in there and don't be afraid to gently set some boundaries...even if it's just putting people off for a few weeks. And keep savouring every minute.
ps good thing you wrote this or we'd be on the next boat over to join the hordes!!
Love ya babe! And yer babe, too.
So sweet Lis, stay in your little cocoon for as long as you need to, the world will welcome Ruby with open arms when she's ready!
I loved this post.
I hope you can savor every minute and sweet baby smells, but don't forget the little moments so you can fill us in-later, when it's time of course.
so, soooo, so happy for your little family.
yes, it's just so wonderful! enjoy it!
